Effective Weight Loss

Effective weight loss is a term that can take on any number of meanings. For someone that’s planning to attend their 20th class reunion, it may mean losing that extra 10 or 15 pounds that they have gained since last seeing their classmates. Those that find that they will soon need to replace their entire wardrobe because nothing fits anymore may have an entirely different idea of what constitutes effective weight loss.

One thing is certain, though! No matter why you need to lose weight, or what you may consider success, there is only one way that it can be achieved!

For Effective Weight Loss, You Must Burn More Calories Than You Consume!

Mother Nature designed your body so that when you consume more calories than your body needs for it’s current level of activity, the extra calories are stored in body fat. This is a natural defense mechanism that prepares your body for those possible times when you need more calories than you have available. Of course, if that time never comes, than you will continue to store body fat as long as your over-consumption continues.

This is the process that absolutely must be reversed before you will begin to lose weight.

Medical people will agree that, to lose one pound of body weight, you must burn about 3500 calories. Sounds simple, right?

What this really means, however, is, that to lose one pound of body weight, you must burn 3500 more calories than you consume in any given period of time (week, month, etc). That’s the hard part!

The problem then becomes…How?

Well, you only have two choices:

  1. Exercise More
  2. Eat Less

Or, some combination of the two.

• Exercise more… doesn’t mean that you have to run down and join the neighborhood gym or take up jogging. You may be surprised to find just how many extra calories you can burn by doing simple things:

  • Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
  • When you go shopping, park as far from the door as you safely can.
  • When traveling in your neighborhood, leave the car at home. The walk will do wonders for you.

I’m sure that, if you set your mind to it, you can think of dozens of ways to increase the level of activity in your everyday life. More often than not, that’s all of the extra exercise that you’ll need to begin losing weight!

• Eating Less…is where most of us fall short. Hunger is an unnatural state that your body can’t tolerate, and, when you’re hungry, it lets you know (in no uncertain terms) that you need food!

Now, this is the place that most articles would begin to espouse the virtues and benefits of the “latest & greatest” weight loss diet or program that guarantees results within 3 days.

Sorry! Not gonna happen!

The truth is…I’ve never met a weight loss program or diet that produced results without requiring great will power and sacrifice. Neither is among my strong points.

Effective Weight Loss Solutions

Unfortunately, there is no real option for burning more calories. Oh, there are any number of “fat burning” pills and potions out there, but most (if not all) are limited in there ability to raise your metabolism. In most cases, drinking a cup of strong coffee is just as effective as the pills.

All you really need to do is to increase your daily activity as outlined above. It may seem like a pain at first, but, if you give it a chance, it will become a part of you, and seem perfectly natural.

The really hard part of effective weight loss is the “eating less” part. For years, this proved to be the “weight loss downfall” for both my wife and myself.

Over the years, we tried just about every appetite suppressant on the market and had very little success. Well, I had very little success. When we bought and tried Caralluma Actives, my wife’s hunger just faded. It proved to be her key to effective weight loss when used in conjunction with her increased activity levels.

For me, the answer was a bit more illusive. It wasn’t until I learned the difference between calories consumed and calories absorbed that I was able to find something that helped me to lose the weight.

Like most people in the developed world, the great majority of the calories I consume come from carbohydrates and starches (white bread, pasta, potatoes, corn, etc). Of course, I eat (usually more than) my share of meat and sweets, as well, but carbs are the big, bad wolf of my weight problems.

Well, I’ve never been able to get rid of the wolf, but I have found a way to take away his bite. Some months ago, I started using a product called Dietrine, which has been my key to effective weight loss.

It seems that your body uses particular enzymes to digest and absorb the calories that are in carbohydrates and starches. Unlike “carb blockers”, Dietrine contains ingredients that neutralize those enzymes, allowing the carbs to pass through your body intact. The people that make Dietrine claim that, when taken just before a meal, it can stop your body from absorbing as many as 1100 calories from that meal.

I don’t know about all of that, but, I do know that I’ve lost just under 40 pounds since I started using it at every meal (about 7 months).

Bottom line…all I really have to offer is personal experience, but, for my wife and me, achieving effective weight loss had a 3-point solution:

  1. Accepting the fact that, like most good things, losing weight takes some time. There is no “magic bullet” and some effort will be required.
  2. Increasing our physical activity as noted above
  3. Using either an appetite suppressant (like my wife) or a product to stop calorie absorption (Me!) to lower your caloric intake.

This is what has worked for us. Perhaps, if you give it an honest try, it will work for you, as well…

GOOD LUCK!
