When one speaks of a weird reoccurring dream, how often have they said, “My subconscious must be trying to tell me something.” Really, our subconscious minds do send us messages that are both good and bad.
Most often, those powerful feelings we experience are simply our subconscious mind telling us that we need to act on something. The problem is that we do not listen or even understand the messages that our subconscious is trying to relay to us.
Your Subconscious Has the Power to Hold You Back
Much of what we hear, see and experience in life is buried in our subconscious. If as a child you are often told that you are worthless, will never amount to anything and are a failure your subconscious mind will bury those words. As you get older you find that you have goals you want to accomplish but it seems like no matter how hard you work or how much you try you always run into obstacles that are simply insurmountable.
The fact is that it is not the problems you face at all but your subconscious mind repeating the words you heard as a kid, repeating them to you, and keeping you back from meeting those goals you set.
Your Subconscious Has The Power to Push You Forward
However, if as a child you have been told repeatedly that you can do anything you want over and over, then as you get older and tackle a goal or a project you seem to accomplish your aim no matter how many people tell you it can’t be done.
The Key to the Power of Your Subconscious
The key to harnessing the power of your subconscious is to replace the negative thoughts that abide there while listening to the helpful messages your subconscious is telling you. For years self help gurus have told you that the way to increase your self esteem is to say positive things about yourself out loud. What they are not telling you and in fact, may not understand themselves is that by repeating these positive remarks over and over we are burying these positive thoughts in our subconscious and pushing those negative thoughts even deeper or ridding ourselves of them altogether.
When these good thoughts are buried just beneath the surface it will be those thoughts that pop up when we are trying to reach a goal. Instead of hearing the message, I cannot do this, we will now hear, I can do this and we will feel like we deserve to meet that goal.
When faced with a challenge, our subconscious is not only saying we know how to do the task, but we deserve it as well. This sort of belief makes it possible to do anything we set our minds to as long as we are willing to put in the effort required to meet the goal.
You will be surprised at just how much you can accomplish when you learn how to harness the power of your subconscious.
